How I Went From Blonde To Blue

Intro

I’m a high school student who has been dyeing his hair blonde since the age of 12. My mom is a hairdresser, and she taught me how to style my hair properly. I always thought of myself as being very creative and an unusual person; therefore, I decided to try something out of the ordinary: changing your hair color.

When I was in eighth grade, I decided that it was time for me to dye my hair blue. This was no easy task because my parents were not supportive of this idea at all! It took some convincing before they eventually gave in (thank goodness).

What drove me to want to do this?

You want to know what drove me to want you to do this? A few things:

I was feeling bored and wanted to change something about my appearance. I wanted to feel special and different, like my friends who were experimenting with their hair colors. And I was inspired by other people’s hair colors, especially when they’d done dramatic things like going from blonde to blue or red.

How did I feel about changing my hair color?

If you’re thinking about dying your hair, I hope that this blog has helped you to make a more informed decision. The important thing is to think about what you want to accomplish and how much time and money it will take before making a final decision. Even though I’m not a big fan of blondes myself, the whole process was worth it because now my friends are way more interested in talking with me than they ever were before!

The biggest lesson that we learned during our time as blonde girls? That perceptions vary wildly depending on who’s looking at them—and despite all the effort put into getting our hair right every morning (including trips to the salon), there’s no guarantee that anyone will notice or care if they do.

What was the process of going from blonde to blue?

  • Getting highlights: This was the first step in my journey. I went to the salon and told them that I wanted something a little more exciting than my boring blonde hair. They did a fantastic job highlighting it with a very subtle mixture of purple, blue, and green—it made me look like an extra from Avatar!
  • Bleaching: After about two weeks of letting those highlights grow out, I went back to the salon for bleaching. This part wasn’t pleasant; it hurt so much that I actually cried on the chair from pain! But once again they did an amazing job on my head because now instead of having blonde hair with some blue color in there (which looked kind of tacky), I just have plain old white hair but with some faint hints of light brown here and there if you go looking for them under bright lights (which frankly no one ever does).
  • Dying blue: The third time around at this point was when things really got interesting—I had decided to go all out by dying my entire head blue! The first dye didn’t take very well since we hadn’t bleached all of my roots beforehand so we had to start over again which meant more pain and misery for me but also more happiness coming soon as soon as this whole process ended because after all…

How did I feel after dying my hair blue?

I felt like I was a new person. And you know what? I liked her. She was confident and happy, and she didn’t care what other people thought of her hair color or of her life in general. I felt like anything was possible! Suddenly, it wouldn’t have been so bad to be different from the crowd if that made me happier.

After dyeing my hair blue, I started seeing things with different eyes — literally. Colours were brighter, lights were shinier and more beautiful than ever before! And when I looked at other girls who had dyed their hair blue (or blonde or purple), they also seemed more creative…in fact there was something about them that seemed to say “I’m not afraid to be different!”

How do I think other people perceive me with blue hair?

How do I think other people perceive me with blue hair?

People notice when I have blue hair. It’s a fun color to wear and it seems like everyone wants to ask about it. They’re interested in how I feel about having blue hair, what motivated me to dye my hair blue and even how I came to decide on such a bold change. People often ask me about my hair!

Conclusion

In conclusion, yes, I would recommend anyone to do something like this at least once in their life. It’s always nice to be able to feel a change, even if it’s small. I’m glad I did it and I feel like it made me a better person.

Sometimes it’s fun to be able to feel a change.

Switching your hair color can be a fun way to change what you look like. It’s like going from being blonde to blue. I mean, sure, it’s not really the same as dyeing your hair blue, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun.
