7 Low Maintenance Hairstyles For Girls on the Go

Dutch braid

The dutch braid is a great option for girls with longer hair or those who want to add some volume. To do it, take a 1-2 inch section of hair from the front and split it in half. Then create two more sections on either side of your first one. Take the right section of hair (the one furthest away from you) and Dutch braid it over all three sections until you reach the end of your hair at the back. Repeat this process on the left side so that you’re now holding four strands at once instead of just two! Now all that’s left is to repeat until you get to where you started, then pin up any loose ends and enjoy!

If this tutorial doesn’t work out for anyone then don’t worry because there are plenty more options below:

Top knot

The top knot is a great low maintenance hairstyle if you want to look put together but are short on time. To achieve this look, part your hair into two sections: one at the top half of your head and another at the bottom half. Twist only the top section and secure it with a hair tie. Repeat with the bottom section and then pull them together so they’re both in a ponytail holder on one side of your head. Repeat until all of your hair is in a ponytail holder!

Low bun

A low bun is a great option for girls on the go. It’s easy to do and looks great on everyone, so you can throw it up in a second when you get home from work or school. Just take some hair from the top of your head and twist it into a ponytail. Then roll that ponytail around itself until you have one big circular ball of hair, and tie it off with an elastic band.

If you want to make your bun look more polished than messy (which is totally fine), use bobby pins instead of an elastic band at the end of your twisty-bun creation—this will give it more definition and hold its shape better through time!

I like my buns with volume so I usually tease them before I put them up in a low bun like this one: Brush out any knots or tangles while spraying each section with hairspray until thoroughly coated (be careful not to apply too much though). Then begin teasing along the crown area starting at your sideburns moving upwards towards where you want all those voluminous strands to go when they’re finished creating their circular shape around themselves right above where they meet together toward the back—this should result in lots more volume throughout most areas outside this circle too! Now secure everything together as shown above using either bobby pins or elastics depending on how much time we have left now before bedtime arrives tomorrow morning.”

Ponytail

Your ponytail is a great way to take your hair from boring to cute. You can make this style more fun by adding an accessory like a sparkly hair tie, or try pulling the ends of your hair back in a half-ponytail and letting the rest fall loose.

If you have long hair and want to try something new, use bobby pins or other small clips to create interesting patterns in your ponytail.

For short styles like pixie cuts, consider keeping the front short while wearing it up in back.

Fishtail braid

How to do it:

  • Take a section of hair on the side of your head and divide it into three equal parts, then twist the first two sections together at the bottom.
  • Take the third section and fishtail braid two strands from below up through one of the twisted strands, then repeat with another pair of strands until you reach the top part of your head where you will finish off by weaving them under all three original twists so that they are secure and neat looking.

Messy french braid

  • French braid your hair on either side of your head, then tie it off with an elastic band.
  • Pull out strands of hair from the front layer of your hair with a comb to create some volume and messiness.
  • Gently pull down at the sides of your head so that they’re not too tight or neat looking (try to be gentle, as this will help ensure that you don’t rip out any knots). You can also pull down at one side if you’re trying to create more volume on one side than another!
  • Twist two pieces together so they look like braids but are loose enough for some movement in them; repeat until all three sides have been twisted together into one big braid! For extra fun: French braid all three sides together for a more dramatic effect when you take it out later on 😉

Messy braided bun

For this style, you’re going to want to start by sectioning off your hair.

Then, create a messy braid at the bottom of your hair, making sure that the braid is loose and not too tight.

Now take all of the braids and twist them around each other until they form a bun. Secure with pins or bobby pins as needed!
