How to Use Bleach Hair Dye
What is bleach hair dye?
Bleach hair dye is a permanent process that will remove the natural colour from your hair. When applied correctly, bleach is a fantastic way to achieve lighter or pastel-colored locks without damaging your hair.
Bleach can be used in two different ways: as a semi-permanent or as a permanent solution. If you’re looking for something that will last a few weeks at best, then using blue toner on your roots is probably the way to go. However, if you want to achieve long-lasting results that won’t fade with time (as well as removing any unwanted tones), then bleaching it all off will do the trick!

You should also consider your natural hair colour, the desired colour, and how long your hair is. If you want an edgy look or want to go from black to blonde, then bleaching your entire head may not be necessary. You could simply bleach the ends of your hair so that they match up with the roots.
If you have very fine or curly hair, it’s important to use a neutralizing shampoo after using bleach – otherwise, it will continue to strip moisture out of the strands and leave them brittle. If you have thick or coarse locks though, this shouldn’t be necessary as they are already quite resilient against damage caused by chemicals such as those found in bleaches (which can actually work positively for them).
Finally – if you’re planning on dyeing more than just one spot on someone else’s head (the back of theirs), then make sure they know exactly what kind of experience they’re getting into! The last thing anyone wants is an unexpected reaction from their skin being exposed directly underneath all those chemicals — especially if there’s nothing nearby capable enough at reacting quickly enough should something go wrong (like another person nearby).
Applying the bleach
Now that you have your bleach, it’s time to apply it. Before you get started, make sure to wear old clothes and wash your hands well so as not to stain any part of your body or clothing.
Once you’ve done this, separate a small section of hair near the root (about an inch or so) and apply the bleach with a bristled brush or comb. Working quickly is key here; try not to go over the same area more than twice in order to avoid damage. Once applied, leave this section in for five minutes before rinsing out with cool water (never hot). Then repeat this process on another section until all sections are covered.
Rinsing the bleach out of your hair
Now that you’ve rinsed out the bleach and applied some conditioner, it’s time to dry your hair. You can do this in a few ways. You can use a hairdryer, but we don’t recommend it since they’re harsh on your hair and can cause damage over time. A better option is air drying or diffusing your hair with an attachment (if you have one). We prefer air-drying because it gives our locks some extra softness and shine without using any additional products that might be harmful to our strands. Finally, use a soft towel to pat dry gently without rubbing or tugging at the roots—you want them as healthy as possible!
Be sure that you follow all instructions and use the correct products when using bleach on your hair.
When using bleach on your hair, it’s important to understand that this isn’t something you should do at home. It’s best left up to the professionals and their knowledge of how to help you achieve exactly what you want.
There are some things that can only be done by a professional stylist who knows what they’re doing, but when it comes time for bleaching, there are a few tips they can tell you:
- Always follow instructions.
- Use the right products (i.e., don’t use an ammonia-free bleach if your hair is gray).
- Do a skin test first (in case of allergies).
