The Dangers of Box Dye

Relaxers and moisturizers are not the same.

Relaxers, on the other hand, make the hair softer and easier to style but can also cause damage. The main ingredient of relaxers is sodium hydroxide (or lye). When applying this chemical to your hair, it lifts off its natural protective layer and makes it more porous. This lets dye penetrate deeper into your strands so that they’ll have a uniform color all over instead of splotchy spots like you might get with dyes containing ammonia.

However, this process makes your hair much less resistant to environmental damage like heat or chemical products than it was before the chemical was applied—so if you ever want to go back from box dyeing then I recommend getting a professional color job!

Conditioner can make your hair too soft.

While it’s true that conditioner can make your hair softer, it’s not the same as a relaxer. If you use conditioner on relaxed hair, you’ll end up with limp strands. Conditioners are meant for natural hair and should only be used on those types of locks.

Always have someone else test a relaxer on your hair first.

When you’re dyeing your hair at home, always make sure that someone else tests the relaxer on their own hair first. If they have sensitive skin, they might have an allergic reaction to the chemicals in the product.

If you do happen to get a reaction from using box dye, try not to panic! There are ways to treat it and get rid of your rash quickly so that it doesn’t last for days or weeks at a time.

Don’t do your own relaxers.

> Don’t do your own relaxers.

> Never use a relaxer on your own hair. You can get a professional one from the salon, which is safer and more effective than doing it yourself. Relaxers are dangerous if not done properly, so you should only go to a stylist for that kind of thing.

The same color doesn’t work for everyone.

A lot of people don’t know that hair color is dependent on your skin tone. When you go to the salon, they’ll ask what color you want and not really tell you much about it. When I was younger, I always wanted to be a blonde and I never understood why my mom would always say no to that idea. She told me that she thought blondes looked older than brunettes or redheads (which is true). Instead, she chose colors for me based on how my skin looked at the time—and those were usually either light-medium brown or dark browns.

It’s important to know what color works best with your skin tone so that you can achieve the look that’s right for you! Your hairdresser or stylist will be able to help guide this process if they’re willing!

Box dyes can damage your hair.

Box dyes are not the only way to darken your hair, but they have their drawbacks. Box dyes will not work for everyone and can cause damage to your hair if used improperly. If you’re thinking about using box dye, make sure you understand the risks involved before trying it on yourself or another person.

Box dyes are formulated to darken all types of hair (including bleached, damaged and colored hair), but these chemicals can also cause allergic reactions in some people. When using a permanent box dye, be sure not to leave the product on for longer than recommended by its instructions. This will help prevent scalp damage from occurring by keeping it away from sensitive areas like ears or eyelids where bleach patches may occur after application has been completed

Box dyes can easily damage your hair, so make sure to get a professional opinion before you dye your hair or make any big changes to it.

Box dyes are not meant for everyone. If you have sensitive skin or hair, box dye can cause issues that can be very difficult to work through. In addition, if you box dye your hair without properly preparing it and/or using the right products, it can lead to severe damage. This is why it’s important to consult with a professional colorist before making any big changes to your hair.

If you choose to dye your own hair at home with box dye, test a small strand of hair before applying the product fully in order to make sure there are no adverse reactions on your scalp or skin.
