Change Your Hair Color Without the Hassle with L’Oreal Paris

1. Pre-treat your hair.

  • Pre-treat your hair.

If you have damaged hair, do NOT pre-treat your hair with any of the following products:

  • Hair shampoo or conditioner
  • Heat protector spray
  • Hair oil

2. Start with a base color.

To ensure the best possible results, you should make sure your hair is clean and dry. Your kit will come with gloves that you should use to protect your hands from staining, as well as a towel to protect your clothing. Before applying the dye, make sure not to touch any part of your face (or anyone else’s!) with dye on your hands or fingers—it can cause serious irritation! Also be careful not to leave it on too long; doing so can burn the scalp.

3. Mix the dye together.

The next step is to mix the dye with the developer. This is a bit more complicated, but not too bad!

First, make sure you have everything out and ready to go. You’ll want your gloves on, your mixing bowl and spoon ready, and any towels or cloths you may need. Then, open up the package of dye and pour it into the mixing bowl along with some developer to lighten your hair by two shades (it’s better if you’re going for a drastic change). Then mix together carefully until they are fully blended into each other.

After that’s done, take off your gloves again so they don’t get stained with dye—you won’t need them anymore until after this step anyway—then put them back on before moving onto putting in contact lenses or getting anything stuck in your eyes!

4. Apply the dye to your hair in sections.

Once you’ve added the mixture to your hair and let it sit for the allotted time, it’s time to wash and rinse out. If you can, apply the dye in sections so that you don’t wash all of your hair at once. This way, if there are any areas where you applied too much dye or didn’t apply enough shade of color, you can correct them by rinsing with cold water until they’re corrected before moving on to the next section.

It is important not to use shampoo or conditioner when removing L’Oreal Paris hair dye because these products could interfere with the color process and prevent it from working properly. Instead use a special color-depositing conditioner like Pantene Pro-V Sheer Blonde Color Protecting Shampoo & Conditioner ($5) which will help protect your blonde locks while keeping them shiny and soft!

5. Rinse and style as usual!

Your hair is almost done! Now, it’s time to rinse out the dye and style as usual.

  • Rinse thoroughly until all of the color comes out of your hair.
  • Blow-dry or air-dry as normal, but never mix cold water and warm water together to wash your hair because this could cause damage or discoloration in some cases (although if you are careful about this step then there shouldn’t be a problem).
  • It’s also important not to shampoo your hair within 2-3 hours after dying it because doing so can strip away the color from your strands before it has had time to set properly—this will result in less vibrant colors overall! You can use conditioner though if needed; just make sure that you wait at least an hour after shampooing before styling so that the moisture doesn’t affect your new dye job too much (especially if you have curly/wavy/kinky textures).
  • “Do not apply heat while still wet since this can cause burns on sensitive skin areas such as ears which may not show up until later down line when they become irritated enough due to sun exposure etcetera.”
