USA – Powder Alert
Today, we’re going to talk about the USA – Powder Alert. This is a new blog post that provides information on skiing in Colorado and Utah. If you’re planning on heading out this winter, make sure you get your travel plans together before hitting the slopes!
First of all: what is an Avalanche? An avalanche is a “mass of snow” (1) that slides down a mountain slope under its own weight (2). Avalanches can be triggered by several factors, including heavy winds (3), temperature changes (4), and human activity such as snowboarding or skiing (5). A common misconception about avalanches is that they occur only with fresh powder—this isn’t true! Avalanche danger exists even if there hasn’t been any recent snowfall because ice crystals can form beneath layers of old snow over time from different weather conditions like wind or rainstorms. Bear in mind that it’s possible for an avalanche to carry debris like trees into mountainous areas where there aren’t any trees at all!
The world is a beautiful place and we have the opportunity to travel there.
