50 Shades of Gray Hair Color
Silver gray hair color
Silver gray hair color is a beautiful and classy look. It’s chic, sophisticated, and will give your style a polished finish. This elegant shade of gray can be achieved with the following steps:
- Wash your hair with a shampoo that has no harsh chemicals in it. This is important because you want to make sure that you aren’t damaging your hair further as it’s already been damaged by the sun and pollution.
- Rinse out any excess product from your hair.
- Apply conditioner all over your strands before rinsing it out again so that you give them some extra moisture while they’re wet. Use deep conditioning treatments if possible! Especially if they contain argan oil or other natural oils like coconut oil or jojoba oil which are great moisturizers for dry or damaged locks!
- Shampoo again using only water until all traces are gone from roots down through tips (this helps remove any residue left behind after applying product). You can also use an apple cider vinegar-based rinse on damp/wet strands which will help restore shine while adding moisture back into them simultaneously (it works especially well if used daily!).
Ash gray hair color
As you might have guessed, ash gray hair color is a cool color that is a shade of gray with a blue undertone. This means that it will look best on people with cool skin tones, such as those who are fair-skinned and have light eyes. However, because ash gray hair color is so cool in nature, anyone can wear it as long as they’re careful not to go overboard with their application or they risk looking washed out. To get this look yourself, you’ll need to mix an ash blonde dye with your regular blonde shade or any other type of lighter hue (e.g., white) for added warmth and depth—you’ll also want to make sure that the product you use does not contain peroxide since this ingredient needs time to oxidize before washing out completely from its container once opened at home (to avoid damaging effects).
Icy Gray hair color
Icy gray is a cool and dark tone of gray. Icy grays are great for people who want to exude elegance, sophistication and class.
Icy grays look best with cool skin tones (like pale or very light skin). If you have a warm skin tone then icy grays can be quite harsh on your face but if you are lucky enough to have cool undertones then an icy silver color might work well for you.
To achieve this look use the lightest shade of gray dye (light ash) because it’s less likely to give you that green/blue tint than other shades of gray dyes will do on your hair if they aren’t used sparingly! To get the exact same effect as in my tutorial below: use 1/2 cup per application instead of 1 cup as written on the box!
Light Gray hair color
Light gray hair color is achieved by using a toner on very light blonde hair. A good colorist can blend the toner with a very light base of blonde, giving a beautiful, very light grey color. If you have darker blonde hair, your colorist might not be able to get this look because there isn’t enough room for the platinum that creates it to show through and still maintain some depth.
Keeping your new gray looking fresh and bright can be done by using shampoos and conditioners made especially for blondes. They work better on lighter shades than they do on darker ones so keep that in mind when choosing them!
Platinum Gray hair color
Platinum gray is a light, cool blonde shade that typically has a bluish or ash tone. It’s great for cool skin tones with pink undertones, and it’s not a natural hair color; you’ll need to bleach your hair first in order to achieve this look. To get platinum gray hair:
- Bleach your hair as much as possible (to remove any existing pigmentation)
- Tone using toner
Dark Gray hair color
If you’re looking to go gray but don’t want to do it all at once, dark gray hair is a great option for those with dark brown hair. Dark gray hair allows you to get your feet wet in the world of grey without committing fully. It’s also great if you want your roots in the spotlight—a dark shade will be less noticeable than lighter ones at the scalp area!
How do I do this?
Start by applying an ash base color to your entire head. Next, apply a darker shade—either straight up black or espresso brown—to create dimension in your hair and create a kind of ombre effect on just one side/front section/sides part (you choose!).
Granite Gray hair color
This technique is designed for those with naturally dark hair. The result is a dark grey, almost black color with a shimmery silver tone. It is achieved by coloring the hair grey from the mid-shaft to the ends and then adding a lighter grey or white to the tips.
Grey is the new blonde!
The world of hair is ever changing, and with it comes new trends. Grey hair has been the newest trend to hit the scene, and you’re probably wondering how you can get grey hair too!
