Washing Your Human Hair Wig

It’s important to follow some simple rules when it comes to caring for your human hair wig. In general, you should wash your human hair wig at least once every 10 wears. This will keep it looking fresh and feeling soft.

You should also always use a clarifying shampoo that is designed specifically for synthetic hair, as this will remove any build-up from styling products or oils from the scalp. Rinse your human hair wig thoroughly with cold water (never hot). Finally, do not get it wet unless necessary—if you’re going swimming or getting caught in the rain, don’t forget your waterproof conditioner!

Always wash the wig at least once every ten wears.

It is ideal to wash your wig every ten wears, but you can wash it more often if you like. You’ll want to use cold water and a clarifying shampoo, as these are gentle on the hair fibers and won’t damage them. Rinse thoroughly with cold water after washing and let air dry flat on a towel or wig stand, never in a hot place such as a dryer or steamer!

Use a clarifying shampoo and rinse thoroughly with cold water.

If you use products on your hair, it is important to wash them out with a clarifying shampoo. You should also rinse thoroughly with cold water to prevent frizzing. Otherwise, the heat from hot water will cause damage to your wig and make it look unnatural.

Finally, keep in mind that using a moisturizing conditioner on human hair wigs is essential because they tend to be dry and brittle without proper care!

Conditioning Your Human Hair Wig

Conditioning your human hair wig is an easy way to keep it soft and manageable. Use a deep conditioner that will help the wig maintain its wave, curl or straight style.

After you have washed your wig, but before it dries completely, place it on a stand or mannequin head to let it air dry. When using a blow dryer on your human hair wig, always use a diffuser attachment so as not to damage the cuticles of the fibers in your piece!

Use a deep conditioner.

Deep conditioners can be found at your local drugstore or beauty supply store. These products are designed to replenish and moisturize hair, as well as infuse it with much-needed vitamins and minerals. Deep conditioners differ from regular conditioners in that they contain more moisturizing and conditioning ingredients, such as hydrolyzed collagen or even natural oils such as argan oil.

Use deep conditioner on your human hair wig once per week, or after every shampoo if you wear a synthetic fiber style. Apply the product to dry hair, leave it in for 5 to 10 minutes while sitting under a hooded dryer (or otherwise covered), then rinse out thoroughly before styling! The frequency of how often you need to use this product depends on how frequently you wash your wig – if you wash every day or two then it may not be necessary but if you wait until later in between washes then definitely apply right after washing so that all those nutrients get locked into place before being washed away again.”

If possible I would suggest finding something specific targeted toward wigs since those have different needs than normal hair does; however there aren’t many products available specifically for wigs so most any deep conditioner should do just fine!

Let your wig air dry by placing it on a stand or a mannequin head.

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to dry your wig, air drying is the way to go. For best results:

  • Place the wig on a stand or mannequin head. DO NOT place it on a styrofoam head! You want something that allows for airflow around the entire unit (including underneath). This prevents mold growth and damage from residual moisture.
  • Allow your wig to air dry thoroughly before storing. Otherwise, you might find yourself with an unpleasant surprise later on down the road when you pull that lovely new hair piece out of its box—and discover that it’s all musty smelling!

Styling Your Human Hair Wig

You can style your human hair wig using heat. However, it’s important to use a good heat protectant before you begin styling. Heat protectants prevent heat from damaging the hair and make it look shiny and healthy.

Using too much heat when styling is the number one cause of damage to our human hair wigs so we recommend using a flat iron at 400-450 degrees Fahrenheit or less on medium setting for around 8-10 seconds per section of your wig only!

Do not comb out any tangles with a wide tooth comb when wet as this could break off pieces of your wig fibers which will create more tangles that are harder to get out later. Instead use conditioner and leave on overnight before washing again with shampoo & conditioner in the shower next morning (do not brush). Then apply leave in conditioner after towel drying then comb through gently with wide tooth comb until fully dry!

You can use heat styling tools to style your human hair wigs, but do it very gently and sparingly.

Heat styling tools such as flat irons, curling irons and blow dryers can be used on your human hair wigs. However, you should use them very gently and sparingly.

Do not use them more than once a week. Use the heat when needed most, such as to remove frizz from your wavy bush or add a little extra volume to it after washing it with shampoo and conditioner.

Use heat protective products before using any heat styling tool on your wig because they will protect it from heat damage and keep it looking shiny and beautiful for longer! If you are going out on a date tonight with someone special then make sure you style your wig before leaving home so that it looks perfect when you meet up with him/her!

Styling Products for Your Human Hair Wig

You should avoid using styling products on your human hair wig. This is because most of the chemicals in these types of products are not meant for human skin, and could dry out the hair or cause allergic reactions.

Examples of styling products to avoid: gels, mousses and sprays (especially those with alcohol)

Examples of styling products you can use: water-based pomades or waxes made specifically for synthetic wigs

Avoid using gels, mousse, sprays and styling products regularly.

Use styling products sparingly. You can use a spray bottle to dampen your wig before styling it, but avoid gels, mousse and sprays as much as possible.

Avoid using too much product at once. If you are going to apply styling products, use a small amount and make sure that they are not too heavy for your particular type of hair extension. Also, try not to use these products on the same day you washed your hair with shampoo or conditioner; this will help prevent buildup in the fibers of your extensions that might weigh down the hair over time and cause breakage.

Storing Your Human Hair Wig

  • Store your wig on a mannequin head, then place the mannequin head in a large zip lock plastic bag.
  • Keep your wig away from pets and children.
  • Don’t store your human hair wig in direct sunlight or damp places.

Avoid storing your wig on a styrofoam head as this will cause your wig to stretch and lose its shape over time.

  • Avoid storing your wig on a styrofoam head as this will cause your wig to stretch and lose its shape over time.
  • Store it in a silk bag or silk scarf.
  • If possible, keep it in the box or bag it came with so that moisture from the air can’t get to it. You should also store it somewhere out of direct sunlight and away from any other hair products (especially those with alcohol).

Care for your human hair wigs properly and you can enjoy them for longer!

Human hair wigs are made from human hair and are a lot more durable than synthetic wigs. If you take proper care of your human hair wig, you can enjoy it for years to come and avoid having to buy a new one.

You can care for your human hair wig by doing the following:

  • Be gentle with it! Don’t pull on the hair or crush it, as this will cause your wig to lose its natural shape and become frizzy.
  • Avoid heat styling tools such as curling irons or straighteners on your synthetic wigs, as they could melt them into an unusable mess. However, if you’re wearing a real human hair wig then these styling tools aren’t going to do any damage at all–just make sure not too close while using them!
  • Wash regularly; once every week should be sufficient but if needed more often than that then go right ahead! Just make sure that when rinsing off shampoo lets go of extra water before letting air dry completely so it doesn’t stretch out too much (which would lead us back into our first point about being careful). If possible try adding conditioner after washing as well since proteins found within this product help protect against damage caused during wear periods such as weather conditions (including rain) which may cause tangles in longer strands due stress from wind currents around head area.”
