it all started with a red wig

all

But what about all?

All this started when I put on that red wig.

And a change in my ego and attitude came over me, but the red wig is still around somewhere. It lives in a box of memories including the first wooden spoon and the first record player, which was also red.

started

It was the beginning of something.

It was the start of another phase.

It was the start of a new era, and it would be years before I could put a name on it: adulthood, but not yet adulthood as I had imagined it to be.

when i put on the red wig

The red wig: what it can do for you.

  • It’s a diva’s crown, and it has magical powers
  • It transforms you into a siren from the sea. You’ll know this because your voice will be so loud that people will tell you to stop singing but they won’t mean it because they love your voice too much and want to hear more of it every day for the rest of their lives. You could sing songs about being sad or angry or lonely—or maybe just a song about how yummy ice cream is—and everyone would say “aww! That was so touching/funny/moving/amazing!”
  • The red wig makes you a star in an instant—a superstar with all their own glory (and groupies). People will look at your face on TV screens everywhere while they watch reruns of past shows where celebrities wore red wigs and made jokes about how dumb other celebrities are for not wearing red wigs like them

a change in my ego and attitude came over me

I think it started with the red wig. I had never worn a wig before, and I’d always been nervous that people would notice that my hair was fake. But when I put on the red wig and looked in the mirror, it felt like a change in my ego and attitude came over me. The red colored costume seemed to give me confidence—I felt like I could do anything! And after all those years of being shy and introverted, I suddenly felt like I could be anything.

It was a red wig, but it could have been any other color—my experience may have been different if it had been blue or green or yellow instead of red—as long as it was something new and different from what everyone else was wearing at school every day (which for many of us is nothing but plain old brown).

and that red wig is still around somewhere

I think it’s safe to say that everything I own began with a red wig. And that red wig is still around somewhere.

As far as I know, my first memory was wearing a red wig. It was home-made, fashioned from yarn and felt by my mother in the early days of parenthood before she realized that she had neither the time nor patience for such activities. This was when we lived on the second floor of our grandparents’ house in South London; my brother and sister were both older than me (by five years and two years respectively) and I think they used to make fun of me because they had their own rooms while I shared one with them—and then there was also this fact:

I did not have any hair on my head at all until the age of four years old when it suddenly started growing back!

it lives in a box of memories including the first wooden spoon

It’s easy to forget that the world around us is made up of memories. Some memories aren’t so good though—they’re the ones we would prefer to forget, but they are still memories nonetheless. We store these bad memories away in boxes and when we open the box, they come out like ghosts and haunt us.

These bad memories live in a box of other things too: pictures from high school graduation or childhood birthday parties or your first kiss. You wouldn’t throw these things out because they mean something to you—you keep them for life! The same goes for all your other cherished items, like collector’s items from Comic-Con International or even just rocks you found on the beach during summer break; some things may seem worthless at first glance but hold great value when kept close at heart.”

the first record player

You may not remember it, but the first record players were introduced in the 1940s. They were a hot commodity—people couldn’t get enough of them! At first, they only played one song at a time and had no way of skipping or rewinding. But soon after that, they started playing two songs at once and then three!

They also came in different shapes: some were big and bulky with big knobs on top; others were small and sleek. Some had amazing art on the front cover (Remember those?!) while others had nothing on them except for words printed in black ink.

These record players became obsolete when CDs came along in 1983, but even though we no longer use them to listen music today—that doesn’t mean we can’t still be reminded of what those days felt like through our memories or by looking at photos from back then…

and the first time i went out for mussels with my friend kathy

Kathy was a great friend. We had so much fun together back in the day! It was during this time that I learned to love mussels and began my illustrious career as an urban explorer.

yes, those are important memories.

So what if you don’t have many things? You can keep your memories. If you have a good memory, think about all the things that happened when you were little and write them down in a journal. Or if you don’t want to do that, just remember them! If you have a bad memory, take pictures of everything so you can look back on it later when they’re already gone.
