Dye Your Hair Without Damaging It? Yeah, Right!

You know the old saying, If you want something done right, do it yourself? I say, If you want to dye your hair without damaging it, DONT DO IT YOURSELF.

You know the old saying, If you want something done right, do it yourself? I say, If you want to dye your hair without damaging it, DONT DO IT YOURSELF.

I thought I would be able to take on the challenge and save myself some money at the same time. Bad idea. It was a bad haircut that led me down this path in the first place–the stylist buzzed my hair way too short for me to deal with at home (this was pre-shaved head era), so I wound up using what was left to dye it back blonde again. The results were pretty good! But then I decided maybe I wanted another color change…and then another…and another….

The fact is: dying your hair at home is not easy or safe and requires expertise. While you can technically do it yourself with some trial and error (and probably plenty of cursing), there are much better options out there that aren’t going to damage your strands as badly as trying something new will do (and we’re talking about more than just feeling bad about yourself).

Dyeing your own hair is a bad idea for two reasons. First of all, doing it yourself is pretty much impossible because of the inherent difficulty in dyeing one’s own hair. Secondly, hair dye is super toxic and will destroy your hair and/or health if you dont take precautions.

To dye your own tresses, you need advanced knowledge of chemistry, color theory, and human biology to do it correctly. You also need to be able to see colors in order for this process to work properly. If you want to successfully change the color of your locks on your own terms rather than pay someone else hundreds or thousands of dollars (depending on how long it takes), then please consult a professional before attempting anything more complex than an at-home box kit!

It’s difficult enough to cut your own hair, so why do people think they can dye their own hair and have it look good? I’m no hairdresser, but I think I can safely say that dying your own hair is a very tricky and complex process. You need advanced knowledge of chemistry, color theory, and human biology to do it correctly.

It’s a common misconception that dying your own hair is easy. The truth is, if you’re an amateur, it can be very difficult to get results that are even close to what you want.

Having the knowledge of chemistry, color theory and human biology necessary to dye your own hair means you have a better chance of getting the result you want. But even with this knowledge, there are many factors at play: sunlight changes the color of your skin; different hair types react differently to dye; some dyes (like those for eyebrows) are meant for use only on certain parts of the body.

If you’re going to attempt this DIY project anyway, I’d recommend doing some research before starting so that when things go wrong – which they probably will – at least you’ll know why!

One thing is for sure: If you’re just a regular person who wants to change up their look, don’t try to dye your own hair! Unless you were born with two left hands (I was), you will be able to give yourself an amazing new look without accidentally turning your entire head green or ruining your hair by overprocessing it.

I’ll bet you were thinking about dying your own hair. After all, it’s so easy to do with today’s modern chemicals and products! Well, think again!

Before we get into why this is a bad idea, let me ask you: Do you know how to cut your own hair? How difficult could it be? Right?

Well, there are plenty of reasons why dying your own hair is not something one should attempt at home. For starters: If someone gets dye in their eyes or on their skin (or anywhere else for that matter), it can cause severe irritation and even permanent damage if not treated quickly with eye wash or an antifungal cream ASAP after exposure. There are also many ways that dye can easily stain clothes—and these stains can be nearly impossible to remove once they’ve set in.
