Short Hair, Don’t Care
1. The Pixie Cut
- The Pixie Cut
A pixie cut is a short, cropped style that resembles the haircuts worn by men in the military during World War II. It’s essentially a close-cropped version of a bob and can range from no more than an inch to just below your shoulders.
- The Bob
The bob is also known as an A-line haircut, as it has graduated layers that create soft waves around your face and neckline. This look is timeless, so feel free to embrace it if you want something low maintenance without sacrificing style!
2. The Lob (Long Bob)
The lob, also known as the long bob, is a beautiful hairstyle that can suit any face shape. It’s easy to style and maintain while still being unique. To get this look at home, use a heat protectant spray or serum before styling with a flat iron or curling wand. You should also be sure to have your hair trimmed every eight weeks to avoid split ends and keep it looking healthy!
If you have damaged hair from coloring or heat styling in general, try using products designed for damaged tresses like Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask ($18) or L’Oréal Professional shampoo and conditioner ($8). A good stylist will be able to recommend other products suited for your specific needs—so don’t hesitate to ask!
The best length for this cut is three inches past shoulder length (the top half of the back of your head). This should work well for most types of hair but especially thick texture that has lots of body (like mine)
3. The Bob
The bob is a classic hairstyle that is simple, smooth and straight. This cut generally falls between the chin and shoulders, with the ends being rounded or squared off. With this style, you can choose to either have it short on one side (with bangs) or have it blunt across your forehead. The latter option looks best on those with straight hair as it requires little maintenance aside from basic upkeep like brushing/brushing through regularly. For curly-haired people who may want to go for the wavy look, a more textured haircut is recommended so as not to give off too much volume in your locks. If your hair tends towards frizziness when left alone after styling, try using a smoothing serum before blowdrying so that you get an even result on all strands without any strands sticking out awkwardly when dry!
4. The Shaggy Cut
The Shaggy Cut is the perfect style if you want a long bob but are not quite ready for a pixie.
It’s got the best of both worlds: it looks polished without being too short or shaggy. You can even add some fringe to make it more interesting (and to hide your crows feet).
The Shaggy Cut works well on fine, thin hair and gives you plenty of styling options. A little messy? Go for it! Or opt for a more polished look by tying your hair up in an elegant bun or ponytail. The choice is yours!
5. The Faux Hawk With Bangs
This hairstyle is very modern, and it looks great on both guys and girls. The faux hawk with bangs style can be achieved by parting your hair in the middle and brushing it backwards. You can also wear this look with a side part, which I personally prefer.
In order to make your bangs stand out, try using a styling product that dries into place or use wax instead of pomade or gel so that you don’t have to blow dry after applying the product.
