The survey of 2,000 women found comparable results concerning the effects of hair color on dating – blonds really do have more fun. The study also indicated that blonde hair is associated with being more attractive and more fun to be around than other hair colors. However, it’s important to keep in mind that these stereotypes are not always accurate. While blonde may be perceived as the “best” hair color for dating, redheads and brunettes can provide just as much excitement to a relationship!

The moral of this story? There’s no ideal hair color when it comes to attracting love interests—that’s just how society has conditioned us to think about looks for years now. Instead of getting hung up on your locks (or lack thereof), focus instead on what makes YOU special—and let that shine through when you’re out there meeting people new!

With 61 percent of women saying that they’ve never dated a redhead and only 31 percent saying they would date someone with jet-black hair, it’s a tough time for girls that dye their hair black or red.

The survey was conducted by the dating app, Hater. It asked over 700 women (all of whom were currently single) what they thought about dating someone with different hair colors and whether or not they would date a redhead or a girl with jet-black hair.

The results showed that 61 percent of women said that they’ve never dated a redhead and only 31 percent said they would date someone with jet-black hair.

Over 40 percent said that if their partner had dyed their hair blonde or another unnatural color, it would be the deal breaker in their relationship.

When asked about their “ideal man”, more than half chose brown hair but when quizzed about whether they’d date someone with brown hair, nearly half answered no.

If you are a woman and find yourself asking, “What is wrong with brown-haired men?” then the problem might not be them but rather you. There’s a difference between what we want on paper and what we’re actually willing to go out with.

It’s important to remember that your preferences don’t always match up with reality. If you’re only going for the “ideal” guy or girl, chances are they’ll never come along because nobody out there is perfect. So if you like someone enough (even if their hair isn’t perfect), give it a shot!
