Prevalence
Coronavirus is common in Saudi Arabia, but the virus has been spreading around the world.
In Saudi Arabia, coronavirus has infected at least 25 people, including 16 deaths.
Although this viral strain hasn’t reached the United States yet, it is still important to understand how it affects your body and how best to prevent transmission of this virus through human contact.
causes
The causes of hair loss are varied and may be due to a number of factors. Some of these include:
- Viruses, such as the one that causes cold sores or genital herpes.
- Bacteria and fungi—a fungal infection called tinea capitis is common in children but can also occur in adults. This condition can cause patchy hair loss on the scalp that looks like dandruff. Another type of fungal infection called seborrheic dermatitis shows up as flaky skin along with greasy hair that gets “crusty” over time.
- Parasites, like lice or scabies mites (which burrow into your skin).
- Allergies, especially those related to shampoo ingredients — so look for hypoallergenic products made with natural ingredients like essential oils from plants such as lavender and mint instead!
Some medications used for severe mental illness can also cause thinning hair: lithium carbonate (used for bipolar disorder), clozapine (misused for schizophrenia), olanzapine (sold under brand names Zyprexa®, Abilify®), risperidone (sold under brand name Risperdal®). A common side effect which occurs when taking oral contraceptive pills is reversible alopecia because it suppresses ovulation; however this does not happen when you use condoms during sexual intercourse since there are other protective mechanisms against pregnancy besides ovulation suppression such as cervical mucous changes that prevent sperm penetration into uterus where fertilized egg would implant itself before dying off without life support systems provided by mother’s body/uterus after conception takes place – thus preventing any chance at getting pregnant in first place!
diagnosis
If you’re experiencing symptoms that could be indicative of hypothyroidism, such as weight gain and fatigue, the doctor will ask about your medical history and perform a physical exam. The doctor may order blood tests to determine if your thyroid function is low. If a low level of thyroid hormone is found in your blood, further testing may be done to determine which type of hypothyroidism you have and how severe it is.
A complete thyroid examination includes physical examination of the head and neck area (including the eyes), palpation (feeling) around the neck for enlarged lymph nodes or masses, inspection of mouth tissues for redness or swelling, visual acuity testing with eye chart testing as well as checking pupil size/reaction with light stimuli; hearing screening using a tuning fork placed on forehead produces normal pitch sound when vibrated against bone behind ear drum (outer ear); checking range up down movement from side-to-side head turning; looking at lips moving together smoothly without sticking together during speech; listening for breathy voice quality (often caused by enlarged vocal cords).
treatment
Treatment for COPD includes:
- Medications. Pulmonary rehabilitation, which includes breathing exercises and education on how to prevent flare-ups. Also, oxygen therapy and lung transplantation may be needed in some cases. If your condition has progressed enough that you are unable to participate in physical activities without getting short of breath or fatigued, consider seeking the advice of a physical therapist who can help you design an exercise plan that fits your needs and abilities.
prevention
- Wash your hands frequently, especially before eating and after using the restroom.
- Wear a mask to prevent the spread of respiratory droplets.
- Disinfect surfaces frequently, including doorknobs, light switches, countertops and cell phones.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
prognosis
Prognosis
The prognosis of COVID-19 is usually good. The illness most often lasts 1–2 weeks, although in severe cases it may become life threatening. The elderly and people with chronic medical conditions are more likely to develop severe symptoms.
Having breathing difficulties is one of many symptoms that can occur with coronavirus infection.
If you develop breathing difficulties, it’s important to seek medical care. Mild symptoms may include a sore throat, cough and runny nose. Severe symptoms such as difficulty breathing are more serious and should be treated immediately.
In addition to mild and severe symptoms, other signs of coronavirus infection include:
- fever that rises above 102 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius) within two days of developing the other two symptoms; or
- chills accompanied by a fever; or
- muscle aches or pain on either side of the abdomen between the ribs; or
